THE SMALL BUSINESS DIGITAL ALLIANCE CELEBRATES NATIONAL SMALL BUSINESS WEEK

May 1st, 2023

WASHINGTON This week, the Small Business Digital Alliance (SBDA), a co-sponsorship between the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and Business Forward, Inc., is celebrating National Small Business Week (NSBW) with its National Members, Local Allies, and small business network.

“Small businesses provide economic strength to regional, local, and state economies across America. Last year, small businesses contributed $770 billion to the U.S. economy,” says Business Forward Executive Liz Fairchild. “This year, nearly half of U.S. small businesses plan to increase their online reach to support their business operations. Digital tools can help entrepreneurs better interact with customers, reach new markets, hire global talent, and grow their businesses online.”

Hear from National Members as the celebrate our nation’s small businesses:

Dharmesh Mehta, Vice President of Worldwide Seller Services, Amazon: “At Amazon, we’re proud to partner with small businesses and committed to their success—and as a result of our thriving partnership, nearly 60% of products sold come from independent sellers, most of which are small and medium-sized businesses. This National Small Business Week, we’re proud to partner with the U.S. Small Business Administration, SCORE, and the Small Business Digital Alliance to celebrate America’s small businesses and ensure they have powerful tools and resources that enable them to establish and build their brands, connect with more customers, and make valuable contributions in their local communities.”

Isabelle Dumont, SVP of Marketing and Technology Partners, Cowbell: Cowbell is happy to celebrate NSBW as a National Member of the SBDA. We seek to improve the resilience of small and medium-sized enterprises through cyber insurance because we recognize the critical role these organizations have in supply chains and the economy at large.”

Amy Friedrich, President of Benefits and Protection at Principal®: “Small businesses are the backbone of the U.S. economy, creating jobs and fueling growth. They’ve made significant advancements in technology and digital resources, transforming the way they reach their customers, interact with employees, and run their business. The SBDA plays an important role in promoting solutions that help employers access the tools and resources they need.”

Samantha Wellington, EVP of Business Affairs and Chief Legal Officer & Secretary, TriNet: “During this very special week, and month, TriNet recognizes the thousands of small and medium-size businesses (SMBs) that fuel our nation’s economy each and every day. We are particularly proud to be participating in National Small Business Week on multiple fronts noted below—sharing critical conversations between thought leaders and experts to inform business owners on timely and top-of-mind topics.
